Project Team
The Master Plan for Lancaster's Parks, Recreation & Arts is managed by the City of Lancaster and will be informed by the participation of community members like you.
Community Advisory Committee
A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) of over 25 community members has been created. The Committee represents a diverse cross section of the community varying in ages, ethnicities, neighborhoods and interests. Perspectives represented include the arts, sports groups, the business community, education and youth. The CAC will meet with Department representatives throughout the planning process to help develop plan policies and make recommendations. Read the CAC Meeting Summary from their May 24, 2006 meeting.
Project Management Team
Project Management Team has been created from the Department of Parks, Recreation and Arts, the Planning Department, and the Redevelopment Department representatives. The three City departments will coordinate to ensure that the Master Plan for Lancaster s Parks, Recreation & Arts aligns with the City's General Plan update and the emerging Downtown Lancaster Specific Plan. In addition, members of the planning consulting firm Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. (MIG) have teamed with City departments to conduct community outreach and analysis as well as coordination to support the planning process.
